Eduardo V. Ortega, Sr. age 74 of Hempstead passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore Ortega Sr.; son, Gregory W Ortega, Sr.; brother, Eddie Ortega and son-in-law, Ciro Salazar; He is survived by his mother Jesusita Vela; wife, Frances M. Ortega; sons, Eduardo V. Ortega, Jr., Christopher Koutsogiannis and Jason Harvey; daughter, Tammy Salazar; daughter-in-law Judi Ortega, and ex daughter-in-law Sonya Ortega; brothers, Mike, Randy and Theodore Jr.; sisters, Ramona, Janie, Mary, Joann, Flora, Gloria and Lisa; grandchildren, Gregory Jr and Denise, Matthew and Gabriela, Eduardo "Paco" III and Sarah, Desiree, Melanie, Gianni and Juan; 6 great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aubrey, Zayden, Isabella, A.J., with one on the way; and numerous other Family members and loved ones.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 5 pm - 8 pm at Lighthouse Word Church. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10 am at Lighthouse Word Church with Brad Qualls and Jonelle Hammack officiating. Interment will follow at Lighthouse Word Church
