Dolly Scruggs, age 79 of Magnolia, passed away on March 22, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents Owen Adolph Collier and Frances Cecile Trilisek-Collier; son Kirk D. Folsom; husband Don L. Scruggs.  She is survived by son Kevin Folsom and wife Lacy Folsom; daughter Kristie and husband Douglas Zorens; brothers Wayne and wife Becky Collier, Buddy Collier; grandchildren Amanda and husband Christopher Fudge, Wesley Folsom, Wyatt Folsom, Oliver Folsom; great grandchildren Tatumn Folsom, Spencer Folsom, Christian Fudge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Dolly was a woman of fierce faith and unconditional love. She possessed strength beyond measure and was an encouragement to everyone she met. The abundance of love she had for her family was unmatched. Dolly would meet you with a hug and a kiss (right on the mouth) and tell you she loved you multiple times a day. There was nothing, absolutely nothing, she would not do for a family member. Her greatest achievements in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made them believe when they doubted, feel safe when they were afraid and loved when they felt unlovable. If they faltered or failed, they knew that nothing they did or said would make them any less in her eyes. Her love was unconditional.

Her emotions ran deep. She would cry at the drop of a hat if she thought anyone was hurting or suffering. She would rejoice exuberantly when her family or friends experienced joy of any kind and she would get fightin' mad if she thought anyone was mistreated, especially her kids.

Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. When Pastor Steve taught on Revelations over the last 13 weeks, she told her daughter, Kristie that what she learned about the security of her salvation in Christ through this specific teaching was so incredibly comforting. She knew her place was secure in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.

With a childlike appreciation for God's natural creation, she marveled at the splendor found in a sunrise or sunset. We remember her in this way and others far too numerous to count.

Visitation will be Monday, March 27, 2023, from 10–11am. Funeral Services to follow at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Burrell officiating.
