It is with great sadness that the family of David G. Siegmund announce he has gone home to see our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. David passed away at the age of 72, on June 24, 2026 in Tomball, Texas.

David was born to Myrtle & Curtis on May 27, 1954 in Brenham, TX. He grew up in Ledbetter and later moved to Seguin, TX. He graduated Seguin High School in 1972 and attended Southwest Texas State University for a period, where he studied biology. He acquired his own company at 27 yrs old, Siegmunds Tree Service & Pest Control. He moved to Waller, TX in 1999. David held various jobs in his lifetime from pest control, butcher to restoring cars and finally working for the Texas Dept of Criminal Justice until his retirement.

David was a very intelligent man who loved history and learning as well as hunting, fishing, racing and traveling. He was a member of the Miata Club and set a speed record for fastest Miata at 142.3 mph in Beeville, TX in 2013. He also loved cooking and barbecuing. The last couple of years he found joy in growing and maintaining orchids.

He is survived by his wife, Minnetta; his children DJ and Daryl; stepchildren Alyna, Michael, Telitha, Roseanna, Sean and Brittany. David and Minnetta were together for 23 years and blended their family when they got married. He was also a grandfather to 16 grandchildren and a great grandfather to 3 great grandchildren. As well as many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday July 10, 2026  at 11:30 am at Canon Funeral Home.
