David Wayne Phillips Sr., age 90 of Waller, passed away on July 5, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence Wayne and Bertha May Phillips; loving wife of 63 years Zona Lynch Phillips; sister Elva Jean Smith; and great grandson David Wayne Phillips III.

David is survived by his sons David Wayne Phillips Jr. and wife Sarah, Howard Thomas Phillips; daughter Judy Braband and husband Ernie; brother Raymond J. Phillips; grandchildren Julie Ann Abke, Hollie Beth Tartt and husband Trey, Mandy Lynn Abke and husband  Rodney, Shane Thomas Phillips, Katie Ann Phillips; great grandchildren Dustin Abke and wife Cassie, Clayton Abke and wife Brittany, Preston and Peyton Abke, Cameron Wesley Boyd; great great grandchildren Colt, Coen and Collyns Abke; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate David's life on Saturday July 13, 2024 at 11am at Lighthouse Word Church, 1223 Donoho St., Hempstead, Texas 77445.

David is in the care of Canon Funeral Home.
