Daisy passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Christopher House Hospice in Austin, Texas. They spent a month with Daisy caring for her and helping her find a peaceful journey home to be with God and her family.
Daisy was born April 14, 1927 in Malakoff, Texas, the daughter of Elbert and Lilly Mitcham. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Edward Svach, her children Judy Peery, Myrtle(Lana) Svach Latham, Billy Roy Svach, and Little Danny, 2 brothers, Arly Mitcham, Fawn Mitcham, and sister June Parrott.

Daisy loved spending time with children. She spent over twenty years as a nurse's aide in the nursery ward of a Houston area hospital. She was a foster parent for decades, sharing her love with children who were in need of comfort and tranquility. She helped Ed plant and raise crops for their family in Waller. When her grandkids were young, they would go fishing, boating and camping together near Dallas. Our best childhood memories were in Waller, eating homemade ice cream, while sitting outside and watching the stars. Daisy loved to play Bingo and crochet. She took a trip to Hawaii with her daughter Judy. Her grandson Blane took her to New York, Colorado and Las Vegas. Granddaughter Sonya took her to Branson, MO, and Galveston. Sonya and Blane along with their families, took turns taking care of "Nana" the past 20 years and she will always be remembered with love and fond memories.

She is survived by her son and spouse; Michael and Pat Davis ; 1 brother, John Mitcham; 6 grandchildren Sonya Callan, Blane Peery, Royce Peery, Shane Svach, Chris Davis, Todd Davis and spouses; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 great - great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services for Daisy Joyce Svach, 87, a resident of Austin will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Canon Funeral Home, 1420 Farr Street, Waller, Texas 77484 Burial will be at Pattison Cemetery, Waller County. The family will greet friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December, 19, 2014 at Canon Funeral Home.
