Charmane Whatley, age 64 of Hockley, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She is survived by her mother Rosemarie Bennett; husband of 21 years, Smokie Whatley; brother, Tommy Bennett; brother-in-law, Farley Whatley and wife Lisa, sister-in-law, Karen Wenske and husband Melvin; nieces and nephews, Farley Whatley Jr. and wife Jennifer, Michelle Whatley and fiancé Zack Zachary, Mel Wenske III, and Kandice Staudt and husband Travis; great nieces, Avery Whatley and Eva Staudt; cousins, Robert Zordich and Kathy Marko. Charmane is preceeded in death by her father, Robert Bennett.

In honor of Charmane, a memorial scholarship fund has been created. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to South Texas Paint Horse Club; 1007 Vivroux Ranch Road, Seguin, Texas 78155. Please document in the memo that the funds are for the Charmane Whatley Scholarship Fund.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating.
