Charles Paul Levandowski, age 75 of Canyon Lake, TX, lost his battle with brain cancer and passed away on May 8, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Antonia Levandowski; brothers Leon, John, and Julian.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janet Levandowski; son Paul Levandowski and wife Kim; grandchildren Connor, Katelyn, and Callie Levandowski; as well as many other relatives, friends and his "little buddy" Lucky.
Charlie was born on Jan. 27, 1947 in Brenham, TX. He lived his early years in Chappell Hill, TX where he began helping his family pick cotton at the age of 6. They later moved to the Hempstead/Waller area where he graduated from Waller High School in 1965. He began working at Waller Implement during high school and then Houston Lighting and Power afterwards. In the early 1970's he went into a partnership and opened R&L Lumber Co. He later moved to the hill country and spent 26 years working at Saur Construction Co., before retiring in 2013.
His hobbies included fishing and woodworking, from teaching his grandkids how to fish, to fishing with his friends, it didn't matter, the Gulf of Mexico, or the many lakes and rivers, he loved to be on the water. He also enjoyed carpentry, from building houses from the ground up, to building furniture and little knick knacks for many people, he could build it all and loved doing it.
Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2022, from 5-7pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Waller Cemetery.
