Charles (Buddy) Kloecker, 89, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, February 4, 2021 surrounded by his wife, sons and grandchildren. He was born May 23, 1931 to Fritz and Willie Lou (Blumberg) Kloecker, in the Cedar Creek Community. He was a graduate of Hempstead High School in 1948.
Buddy served in the U.S. Army overseas during the Korean War. Upon returning, he then married his wife Shirley (Norwood) Kloecker of Pattison, Texas. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as visiting with friends and family as well as spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Buddy also appreciated outside activities such as horseshoes and washers and was an avid 42 domino player. Buddy and Shirley were members of the First United Methodist Church of Hempstead, Texas.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley, two sons, Darrel & wife Tracy of Roans Prairie, Texas and Roger & Amy Kloecker, of Buckhorn, TX. Buddy is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Aaron Krzenski, Roger Kloecker II, Courtney Friedel, Candi Weige, Amanda Ohana, Jared Kloecker, and Bubba Kloecker along with his 10 great grandchildren; brother August Kloecker and wife Judy; sisters Barbara Jean Horn, Doris Faye Jones, Linda Siptak and husband Dwaine, Donna Beth Kloecker, Nita Place; sister-in-law Kay Kloecker; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Willie Lou Kloecker; brothers Sam Kloecker, Fritz Kloecker, Jr., Tom Kloecker, Robert Kloecker, Billy Kloecker and sister Ola Marie Sledge.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1010 7th St, Hempstead, TX 77445.
Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2021 from 1-3pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3 pm with John Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
