Cecil "Buddy"
Clyde Musgrove
Oct 26, 1939 — Oct 10, 2022
Cecil (Buddy) Musgrove passed away 10-10-22 at age 82. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Winnie Faye Musgrove, his parents, Ada Fay and Clyde Odell Musgrove and brother Elton Lynn Musgrove. He is survived by his brother, Milton Roy and wife Carmen, and sister-in-law Dodie Musgrove, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members.
His love for his wife was larger than life itself. Their favorite places to eat were Red Lobster, where they went every year for their anniversary and Denny's where they went so often for breakfast that the wait staff all knew them by name and knew what they were going to order. Buddy, as his family calls him, could recall stories- so many stories- of his adventures, misadventures, and observations on life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and spent a lot of time fishing. He was quite the storyteller and could tell stories for hours. Cecil also had a very kind heart. He loved animals and took care of every cat and dog in the neighborhood. For many years, he made many friends while he was rodeoing all over the Houston area. He worked for Harris County on the roads and bridges of Precinct 3. At work, he never used a computer. He wrote everything down in a little book he carried in his front pocket. He retired after 29 1/2 years-- and he would always add the "and a half". When asked to say something about him, his friends' comments were along the lines of -he was a great guy- or simply, we loved Mr. Cecil. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm. 1 pm Graveside Services at Fieldstore Cemetery with Pastor Art Musgrove officiating.
