Carol Davis Briggs, our beloved mother, passed away on Sunday November 9, 2014 at the age of 69. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Willie Davis; husband Douphitt Briggs and is survived by her son Douphitt Briggs III; daughter, Rebecca Hurt and husband Nathan; sisters, Peggy Albert and husband Tommy, Rita Swonke and husband Charles; grandchildren, Travis Hurt and Amanda Hurt.

Visitation will be Tuesday night November 11, 2014 from 5 to 8pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10am at Canon Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Wunderlich officiating. Interment will follow at Waller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
