Cannie Etta Spinks of Waller, Texas was born on December 18, 1925 in Marquez, Texas to Fred Copeland and Ida Mae Noey Copeland. She went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2018 in Katy, Texas at the age of 93. Etta is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ida Mae Copeland, husband Samuel Lewis Spinks; sons Samuel Lewis Spinks, Jr., Fredrick Leon Spinks; daughter Norma Jean King; brothers Fred Copeland, Shelton Copeland, Willie Copeland, Eugene Copeland, Milton Copeland; sisters Irene Hall, Ofiline Tyler, Essie Padgett, Imogene Bishop. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Jerry Foudray; daughter Connie Wawarofsky; son John Spinks; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 10am-12pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1 pm with Pastor David Foudray officiating. Interment will follow at Canon Mathis Cemetery.
