Obituary

Billy Edward Smith, age 91 of Waller, passed away on August 4, 2014. He is survived by his wife Beatrice Smith, sons David N. Smith and wife Gail of Grapevine, TX, Jeff K. Smith and wife Donna of Houston; step-sons, Ronald Santry, Jr., Tim Santry, Marlan Santry and wife Kimberly, of California; adopted daughter, Kim Childress of Longview; sister, Delia Culpepper of Fort Worth, and numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends.

Bill was the youngest of 9 children born to Levi and Delia Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association having proudly served his country aboard the USS California during the Pearl Harbor invasion. Bill spent the majority of his twenty years of enlistment in the Pacific Theater and was a member of the Mystic Order of the Golden Dragon. After retiring from the US Navy, he owned and operated Mobil Service Stations for over thirty-five years; first in Dallas/Fort Worth, and finally in Houston. Bill took his final retirement at his much loved ranch in Waller, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Bridge Point Bible Church, 13277 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX 77079.
