Betty Jean Wedeking, age 90 of Waller, passed away November 19, 2021. She was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on January 15, 1931, to Thomas Oliver and Bertha Sessom. She was the youngest of seven children so it is easy to imagine she was spoiled rotten as she should have been.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas W.P. Wedeking and her beloved grandson Travis Ryan Wedeking. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Jordan and husband Stephen, her son Larry Wedeking and wife Carolyn, grandchildren, Dawn Stahman and husband Matthew, Karyn Sanders and husband Samuel, Kyle Jordan and wife Allison, Dwayne Wedeking and wife Kimberly, Justin Wedeking and wife Melissa, Tanner Wedeking, great grandchildren, Mark Stahman and wife Ameris, Alexander Wilkens and wife Savannah, Hannah Stahman, Lily Sanders, Abby, Lucas, Bella, and Dixie Wedeking, Reagan and Evan Payne.

Betty and Doug married in 1950 and lived in Carlsbad until moving to Waller in 1968. Betty was a member of Faith United Church in Hempstead, Texas. She was a deeply religious child of God and truly tried to live by His word every day. We will miss her blessing the food and family at Holiday meals, she was our Matriarch. She was loved and will be missed by so many.

Her grandson Matthew Stahman will officiate her service at Canon Funeral Home, which will begin with viewing on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with the service itself then starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Fieldstore Cemetery following the service.
