Barbara was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, graduated from Sharyland High School (in the valley), and moved to Houston in 1961 where she raised her four children. She was an executive secretary for Cameron Ironworks and was fluent in Spanish. If at first you didn't understand what she said, she automatically repeated herself in Spanish....just in case. Barbara greeted everyone with a smile. She was even tempered, but at the same time you didn't want to get on her "Bad" side, as she had no problem giving her opinion. She was a founding member of the P.O.E.T.S. Society.
Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016 from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Wendt officiating. Interment will follow at Waller Cemetery.
