Barbara Gene Gibbs, age 82 of Hempstead passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Taylor Gibbs; and survived by son, John W. Gibbs and wife Theresa, daughters, Esther Sullivan and Tammy Thomas and husband Guy; sister, Esther L. Howard and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Michael Ty Gibbs, Krystal Ware and husband Darryl Jr., Kory Sullivan and Lauren, Donald Rollings and wife Sandra, Paige Crisman and husband Peter, Taylor Guzman and husband Christian, April Mosby and husband Chad, Thomas Lawrence and Jennifer Lawrence; great grandchildren, Ethan Gibbs, Bayliss Ware, Trey Ware, Grayson Sullivan, Jacob Wicker, Jazzlyn Rollings, Zoe Rollings, Eliana Rollings, Anthony Crisman, Maya Mosby, Alex Mosby, Lily Mosby, Skylar Cross, Bryce Fuller and Eli Fuller; niece, Jennifer Y'Barbo-Hamilton and husband Andy; great niece and great nephew, Haley Y'Barbo and Nicholas Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Barbara's name to Pine Island Baptist Church, 36573 Brumlow Rd. Hempstead, TX 77445.

Visitation will be at Pine Island Church on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 2pm at Pine Island Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Dobbs officiating.
