Barbara Marie (Mawmaw) Celaya Dozier, age 68 of Hempstead, passed away on November 4, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her father Jesus Celaya; husband Doug Dozier; brother Robert Rapp; sister Martina Celaya Rodriguez; father-in-law K.E. (Curly) Dozier; mother-in-law Gwenna Sue Murphy; brother-in-law Jimmy Dozier; sister-in-law Yolanda Celaya; nephew Justin Dozier and great nephew Nicolas Burkhalter.

Barbara is survived by her mother Alice Perez Rapp; son Clint Dozier and wife Jessica; daughter Brandy Lea Dozier Maddox and husband Aaron; mother-in-law Wanda Dozier; and honorary sons Kyle Dozier (Brandi), Heath Dozier (Haley).

She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy Celaya, Danny Celaya (Mary), Richard Celaya (Christie), Pablo Celaya Rodriguez, Juan Carlos Celaya Rodriguez; sisters Gloria Torres (Jorge), Patsy Gurrola (Frank), Nellie Burkhalter (Jack), Veronica Klausmeyer (Rodney), Ana Maria Celaya Acedo (Alejandro), Alejandrina Arbizo (Robert), Marcela Celaya Rodriguez; and brother-in-law David Dozier.

Barbara leaves behind her grandchildren Leah Victoria Dozier-Hernandez (Amin Trujillo Jr.), Laney Paige Dozier, Kaylee Raye Dozier.

She also leaves behind her nephews Michael Rodriguez (Sabrina), Alex Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Josh Burkhalter (Mary), Jimmy Celaya, Robert Rapp, Jr.; nieces Monica Celaya (Cassie), Celina Moses (Bruce), Stephanie Piriano, Michelle Derrick (Bear), Lisa McKee (Caleb), Stephanie Ramirez (Fred), Angel Celaya (Dustin), Faith Celaya, Rachel Lopez (Ricky), Sarah Klausmeyer, Emily Medellin (Jesse), Brook Rapp, Kim Rapp (Matt); as well as numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5-7pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, November 8, 2024, at 2pm at Canon Funeral Home with Preston Dozier officiating. Interment will follow at Hempstead Cemetery.
