Lynn was born in Calera, Alabama on May 21, 1956. He came from Alabama to Texas in the 80's and married Jeanie Pettijohn September 30, 1999. They were together for 31 years. They were married by Rev. Clarence Talley, Lynn's mentor from Prairie View. He worked for Jack Rafferty at Prairie View for 8 years. . Lynn graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 1995. Lynn was a singer, guitar player, and song-writer. He recorded 5 albums.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Jeanie; mother Christine; stepfather Ronnie; daughter Chastity, and 3 grandsons; stepson Stan and Nancy; stepdaughter Melanie and her husband Gary; son Jason; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. He will be missed by all.
