Andrew Ouano, age 44 of Cypress, passed away on September 11, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Rodrigo and Alma Ouano. He is survived by his wife Jenna Ouano; sons Aiden Ouano, Anson Ouano, Aaron Ouano, Adler Ouano; sister Rhoda Roll and husband Mike; nephews Mark Roll and wife Katelyn, Myles Roll; niece Michaela Roll; mother-in-law Susanne Bywater and husband Dan; father-in-law Michael Simon; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Andy, born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan area, graduated from Bishop Foley High School in 1994. He continued his education at Michigan State University, class of '99, with a degree in History. After college, job hunting brought Andy to Texas where he landed a teaching position at Waller High School. Following his first year of teaching, he met his wife, Jenna, while they were both in Boston for the summer. Andy and Jenna were soon married, and living in Cypress, Tx together. Over the next four years he would continue to richly impact the high school students and others around him. Andy selflessly decided to move careers in order to fulfill their dream of Jenna staying home with the boys. He began working at HCSS at that time in the Implementation Department. Eventually, Andy became the Instruction and Curriculum Lead, finding himself back in the teaching environment he loved so much.

However, Andy took the most pride in coaching his beloved sons as they got older. He happily led them as Coach Dad in soccer, baseball and basketball most every season. The boys loved having their Daddy as their coach, just as much as he enjoyed coaching them. He was their biggest fan. Andy not only influenced his own boys through sports, he left impressions on the hearts of all the players and coaches that had the privilege of knowing him. In his free time, you could find him using his talents building home projects for the family, playing games alongside his boys and always cheering on his MSU Spartans, Tigers, Lions and Pistons.

Andy was an extremely selfless man. He always considered the wants and needs of those he loved and cared about above his own. Andy embraced the joy and positivity in every situation he encountered. He had an infectious smile that beamed across his face in each moment. The impact he has made on others will last a lifetime. He made the world a much better place. Andy is truly loved by all who knew him. He will forever be loved and missed.

Visitation will be Saturday September 25, 2021, from 6-8 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2-4pm Sunday September 26, 2021, with Funeral Services at 4pm at Waller High School Stadium. In case of rain, Services will be held in the Waller High School Auditorium.
