Born in Houston, Texas on March 10, 1992, Alex Kidonakis was the third child of Gus and Thelma. He carried with him a rich blend of Mexican and Greek heritage, something that shined through in his personality, his traditions, and the way he connected with others.

Alex shared a very special bond with his mother, Thelma. She was not only an excellent cook but also a devout Catholic, and through her example, she nurtured in Alex a deep love for the Blessed Mother and Jesus—faith that remained a quiet strength in his life.

As the younger brother of Melissa and Cimela, Alex trusted his sisters and found ways to stay connected throughout the years, visiting them in college or being present every holiday get together. They cherished his storytelling, his humor, and above all, the comfort of knowing he always had their back.

Alex was brilliant and quick-witted, always ready with a clever remark that could light up a room. He had a lifelong love of classic cars and became not only one of the best salesmen you could meet, but also a true partner to his father, working tirelessly alongside him in the family car shop.

His passions extended beyond cars. Alex loved cooking—bringing people together over meals—and he was endlessly fascinated by outer space, always looking toward the stars with curiosity and wonder.

But more than anything else, Alex's greatest joy was his family. He married and became a proud father to his son, Banjo, who was the light of his life. Every moment Alex spent with Banjo was an adventure, full of laughter, imagination, and love.

Alex also found his soulmate in his fiancée, Kelly. Their love story began in an unexpected but fitting way—she met him while buying a car. From that moment on, Kelly became his partner, his confidante, and the love of his life.

Alex will be remembered not only for his intelligence, humor, and passions, but for the way he loved deeply and devoted himself fully to the people who meant the most to him.

Alex is preceded in death by his grandparents Maria Josefina Rodriguez, Maria Kidonakis and Gregory Kidonakis and his Uncle Alex Kidonakis. He leaves behind his son, Banjo Kidonakis, his mother, Thelma Kidonakis, his father, Constantinos Kidonakis, his sisters Melissa and Cimela Kidonakis, and his fiancé Grace Kelly Vasquez.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 800 FM 1488, Hempstead, Texas 77445. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
